Meet the Team
COGS is an autonomous local church governed by a team of elders. We have a proud heritage in the community north of the Umgeni River, having served in Durban North for over 100 years. COGS is a multi-generational, multi-cultural community of believers who are committed to bringing the Good News of the Kingdom not only to our own city and suburbs but also to the nations. We are convinced that the church should be modelled according to the pattern laid out in the New Testament. We recognize that we are part of the wider body of Christ and that we need to partner with other Bible-believing Christians around the world. Therefore our church has a relationship with an apostolic team, New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI), for accountability and direction. NCMI is a translocal apostolic/ prophetic team of men and women linked internationally to churches through their pastors and leaders. These leaders are from many different backgrounds, yet hold to common vision and biblical values while relating to each other through ongoing relationships of mutual integrity and non-exclusive friendships. This in turn enables effective, functional ministry to be received and reciprocated.
